Independent Variable | Change experimenter makes in an experiment. Also known as the manipulated variable. |
Dependent Variable | Change that responds to IV. This change depends on the IV. This change is the data collected or data measured to determine if the IV has an effect. This change happens after the IV. |
Constant | The factors that must stay the same in order for the experiment to be a fair test. |
Control | Standard of comparison |
Fair Test | An experiment that changes only one factor. |
Repeated Trials | Completing an experiment many times. This is done to make the experiment a fair test. |
