karyotype | Is a picture of all the chromosomes in a cell. |
selective breeding | Is the process of selecting organisms with a desired traits to be parents of the next generation. |
inbreeding | Is the technique that involves crossing two individuals that have similar characteristics. |
hybridization | Is when breeders cross two genetically different individuals. |
clone | Is an organism that has exactly the same genes as the organism form which it was produced from. |
genetic engineering | Is the process when genes from one organism are transferred into the DNA of another organism. |
gene therapy | This is the process that involves inserting copies of a gene directly into a person's cells. |
genome | Is all the DNA in one cell of an organism. |
