Submandibular Gland | salivary glands located just below the mandibular angle, contain enzyme and mucus-producing elements |
esophagus | muscular, musuc-lined tube that connects the pharynx with the stomach, also known as the foodpipe |
liver | organ in the body that detoxifies various substances, secrete bile, and stores iron, vitamins A,B12, and D. |

Duodenum | the uppermost division of the small intestines and is the part to which the pyloric end of the stomach attaches. |
Ascending Colon | lies in a vertical position on the right side of the abdomen, extending up to the lower border of the liver. The ileun joins the large intestines ar the cecum and this part. |
cecum | first 5 to 8cm of the large intestines. Blind pouch located in the lower right quadrant of the abdomen. |
Vermiform appendix | found behind the cecum or over the pelvic rim. not known of the exact funcution of it. |
