Words | Definitions |
Electricity | The flow of electrons through a conductor. |
Law of Electric Charges | Charges repel and opposite charges attract. |
Static Electricity | An electrical charge that is built up in one place and it is static ( not moving). |
Electric Discharge | The loss of static electricity as charges move off an object. |
Conduction | Can transfer the electrons from one object to another by direct contact. |
Electroscope | This is used to detect charge. |
Cell | Divice that produces an electric current |
Photocell | Converts Solar Energy to electrical energy |
Current | Measure of the rate at which an electron passes a point each second |
Voltage | electromotive force or potential difference expressed in volts. |

Induction | The charging of an isolated conducting object by momentarily grounding it while a charged body is nearby. |
Parallel Crcuit | a closed electrical circuit in which the current is divided into two or more paths and then returns via a common path to complete the circuit |
Load | a device that receives power. |
