Reflection | the bouncing of light |
Refration | the bending of light as it passes from one medium, e.g. air, into another, such as glass |
Absorption | When the colors are absorbed and only one is reflected |
Transparent | a material that is capable of allowing clear viewing of objects placed under it or next to it |
Translucent | A material that trasmits light but does not allow objects to be seen through it |
Opaque | You can not see through it |
Convex | a surface that is curved or rounded like the exterior of a cirlce or sphere |
Concave | a surface that is rounded inward like the inside of a bowl |
prisim | a trasparent object which is capable of separating white light into the colors of the spectrum. |
spectrum | the colors present in white light made visible after bing separated, for example, by a prism. The order of the spectrum is: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. |
