Form   How are the sections of the song organized? A, B, A, B, C, B....

Texture   The "layers of a song. Four main types of texture: Homophonic, Polyphonic, Monophonic, Heterophonic...

Homophonic   Main melody with accompaniment.

Polyphonic   All voices/instruments performing different parts rhythmically and pitch-wise but at the same time.

Monophonic   Music in which all of the voices or instruments are singing/ playing the exact, same melody using the exact, same rhythm with no harmony whatsoever. (ex. Gregorian chant)

Heterophonic   Music with slightly different versions of the same meldoy sung and played at the same time.

Timbre   The actual sound of the instrument or voice. Discribe it as dark, mellow, rich, bright, etc...

Dynamics   The volume of the sound. Forte (loud), piano (soft), mezzo-forte (medium loud)

Strings   Instruments with strings.

Woodwinds   Instruments probabaly originally made of wood. Also an instrument that typically uses a reed.

Brass   Instruments made fo brass. Cup-shaped mouthpiece.

Percussion   Instruments that keep tempo.

What is Music   Art. Organized sound and silence.
