Cumulo | A heaped cloud. can be combined with Nimbus which means thunderhead, which is strong thunderstorms coming.

Nimbus | Added to cloud words when clouds are dark and heavy looking.

Strato | Describes layered clouds. Added to cloud words that are a blanket and low in the sky.

Cirro | Means high in the sky. Added to cloud words that are high up in the sky.

Alto | Clouds in the middle of the sky. Added to cloud words to describe mid-level clouds.
