---|---|---|---|---|---|
Cell wall | A rigid layer of nonliving material that surrounds the cells of plants and some other organisms. A cell wall helps protectand support the cell.
🗑
Cell membrane | The cell memberane controls what comes in and out of the cell. It is technicaly a screen of protection for the cells.
🗑
Nucleus | The nucleus is the entire brain of the cell. It controls every thing that happens in the cell. It is redish and spherical.
🗑
Cytoplasm | The cytoplasmis the region between the cell membrane and necleus. It is a gellish fluid.
🗑
Mitochondria | The mitochondria is the power housebof the cell. They convert energy into food.
🗑
Endoplasm reticulum | The endoplasmic reticulum carries protiens through hallway like passages.
🗑
Ribosomes | Are attached to some surfaces of endoplasmic reticulum or float
around in the cytoplasm. Ribosomes factories produce protiens.
🗑
Golgi body | Recieves protiens and other newly formed materials from materials from the endoplasmic reticulum package them and distrubute them to other parts of the cell.
🗑
Chloroplast | Can be found only in plants. Chloroplasts capture energy from the sun and use it to produce food for the cel.
🗑
Vacuole | They are found in the cytoplasm. They are the storage for the cell.
🗑
Lysosomes | They are small round structures containing chemicals thatbreakdown certain materials in the cell.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
To hide a column, click on the column name.
To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.
You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.
Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
