---|---|---|---|---|---|
Cell Wall | A rigid layer of nonliving materials that surrounds the cells of plants and some other organelles. The purpose is to help protect and support the cell.
🗑
Cell Membrane | Forms the outside boundary that separates the cell from its enviroment. The cell membrane controls what substances come into and out of the cell.
🗑
Nucleus | The cell's control center, directing all of the cell's activities.
🗑
Cytoplasm | The region between the cell membrane and the nucleus.
🗑
Mitochandria | The "powerhouse" of the cell because they convert energy in food molecules to the cell.
🗑
Endoplasmic Reticulum | The endoplasmic reticulum passageways carry protein and other materials from one part of the cell to the other.
🗑
Ribosomes | Attached to some surfaces of the endoplasmic reticulum. To produce proteins.
🗑
Golgi Body | Receive proteins and other newly formed materials from the endoplasmic reticulum, packages them, and distributes them to other parts of the cells.
🗑
Chloroplasts | To capture sunlight and use it to produce food for the cell.
🗑
