WEATHERING | The breaking down of rocks and other materials.

INTRUSIVE | Igneous rock that forms beneath the Earth’s surface.

EXTRUSIVE | Igneous rock that forms on the earth surface.

METAMORPHISM | The change of one type of rock into another as a result of heat and pressure.

CEMENTATION | The process in which sediments are glued together.

IGNEOUS ROCK | Type of rock formed under the Earth’s surface when magma cools or hardens.

SEDIMENTARY ROCK | Rocks that are made up of pebbles cemented together with other sediments.

METAMORPHIC ROCK | Rock that has changed form as a result of heat and pressure.
