---|---|---|---|---|---|
organelle | a cell part
🗑
cell membrane | protects cell and controls what enters and leaves
🗑
Cell wall | protects, supports and gives shape to plant cells
🗑
cytoplasm | fills cell and hold organelles in place
🗑
vacuole | storage of water, food or waste
🗑
chloroplast | collects light energy to form food/sugar; PHOTOSYNTHESIS
🗑
mitochondria | releases energy from food for cell
🗑
only found in plant cell | chloroplast, cell wall, large water vacuole
🗑
endoplasmic reticulum | moves proteins & materials around inside the cell
🗑
Golgi Apparatus | packages proteins to move them outside of the cell
🗑
What is the difference in the shape of plant and animal cells? | Plant cells are boxy. Animal cells are blob-shaped.
🗑
nucleus | directs all cell activities
🗑
Difference between multicellular and unicellular | Unicellular organisms are only one cell-all life functions are taken care of by that cell. Multicellular are many cells that each have specialized jobs. The cells divide the work to get all of the life functions accomplished.
🗑
What are the levels of organization in multicellular organisms? | cell>tissue>organ>organ system>organism
🗑
lysosomes | breaks down dead cell parts & wastes
🗑
ribosomes | makes proteins.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
To hide a column, click on the column name.
To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.
You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.
Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
