E & D 2 bed mobility guidlines

Practice moving   segmentally from one side of the bed to the other

Utilize the “bridging” position of hip flexion and knee flexion with feet flat on the surface to assist   with movement and rolling

Move from a supine to sitting position by   rolling into sidelying and placing the feet over the edge; assist as needed to obtain a sitting position  
🗑
All components of bed mobility are complete only when   the patient ends in a comfortable and safe position
