| What is the atmosphere? | The thin layer of air that protects the Earth's surface from extreme temperatures and harmful solar radiation.

| There are Five layers of Earth's Atmosphere what are they? | Troposhpere=Lowest layer closest to Earth's surface. Stratosphere=which contains the ozone layer. Mesosphere=large layer in which most meteorites can be seen. Thermosphere=The largest layer and warmest. Exosphere=Least air pressure, nearest to space.

| What is the Ionosphere and where is it located? | In between the Mesosphere and the Thermosphere is a layer of electrically charged particles called the Ionosphere. It transmitts radio signals and carries them throughout the layer.

| The Ozone layer, located at the top of the Stratosphere is a layer made of billions of (Oygen 3)which protects all living things on Earth from the sun's harmful radiation.

| What is the biggest cause of the destruction of the Ozone? | The ozone molecules of 3 oxygen particles are being broken apart by pollutants called Chlorofluorocarobons (CFC's). Carbon Dioxcide and other harmful chemicals are also bad for the ozone.

| Ultraviolet Radiation is a type of energy that travels to Earth from the sun, and can damage skin and cause cancer, but much of it is absoarbed by the Ozone layer.

The water and some parts of Earth's surface can reflect much energy. Also some of Earth's features can absoarb energy and can reflect it, such as plants and animals.

| What are the three ways heat is transferred throughout our Earth? | Conduction-which is the molecules in an object contacting another and transfering heat from the object. Convection-which is the less dense hot air floating upwards and the more dense cold air sinking forming a current. Radiation-which is heat energy waves

| Wind is the movement of air from an area of high pressure to an area of low pressure.

| Explain the Coriolas effect. | The rotation of Earth causes moving air and water to shift to the right north of the equator and left south of the equator.
