Definition
Force   is any push or pull that causes an object to move, stop, or change speed or direction.

Friction   is the resistance to motion created by two objects moving against each other.

Kinetic energy   is the energy of motion

Potential energy   is stored energy based on an object’s position

Motion   is a change in an object’s position.

Mass   is the amount of material on which a force can act.

Speed   is a description of how fast an object is moving. It is calculated as the quotient of distance divided by time.
