How do we cause over-exploitation?   We use something faster than it can be replaced. ex: overfishing

What are effects of pollution on the environment?   Pollution is not usable to the organisms and harmful to the organisms.

How is habitat fragmentation bad for the organisms?   We change parts of the ecosystem, but some species need large areas of land to hunt and pollution can be easily spread to the organisms. Species need to adapt to this new environment.

How does building cottages bad for ecosystems and environments?   Trees are cleared, which provides us oxygen. There is going to be more pollution. Oil leaks from boats are harmful to aquatic organisms.

What are the effects of acid rain?   It burns the outside layer of leaves, it makes lakes acidic, it changes the soil, and it breaks down statues. (Statue of Liberty)

How is eutrophication formed?   It is formed from nutrients added to the ecosystem causing algae growth. It is usually caused by fertilizers.

How do we preserve species by ex and in situ conservation?   Ex-situ conservation is moving the species from its natural environment like moving a species to a safer area. In-situ conservation is preserving a species in its natural habitat like putting restrictions on it.
