What is the Vacuole   A vacuole is an Organelle, both in plant and animal cells, that stores food, water, waste and any other nutrients the cell needs to survive.

What is the Mitochondria   The Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. They act like a digestive system which break down nutrients and convert them to energy.

What is the Nucleus   The nucleus is at the center of the cell and acts of the "brain" or "boss" of the cell. It controls metabolism, the nucleolus and the all other organelles.

What is the Nucleuolus   The nucleolus is a small organelle surrounded by the nucleus that stores all the cell's genetic information.

What is the Cell Wall   The cell wall is the outer layer of all plant cells. The cell wall's main function is to protect the cell from harm and disease.

What is the Cell Membrane   The cell membrane is a small membrane surrounding the cell that lets in some particles and keeps out others.

What is the Golgi Apparatus   The Golgi Apparatus, breaks down molecules packages them in vesicles and either stores them for later use or sends them out.
