Quiz yourself by thinking what should be in each of the black spaces below before clicking on it to display the answer.
        Help!

DNA structure   The "spiral staircase" structure. The two sugar-phosphate backbones twine around each other while complementary bases (colored bars) face each other on the inside of the double helix.
🗑
double helix   The steplike connections between the backbones are pairs of nitrogenous bases. / Across from a purine on one backbone, there is a pyrimidine on the other.
🗑
comparison of DNA to RNA   DNA is a double helix, RNA consists of only one nucleotide chain / sugar in RNA is ribose instead of deoxyribose / it has no thymine; a base called uracil (U) takes its place.
🗑
semiconservative   duplication of DNA so that each daughter cell is given a complete copy of its genes

To hide a column, click on the column name.

To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.

You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.

Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
