Independent Variable   (things you change) – A variable that is manipulated or changed to determine a relationship between two factors.

Dependent Variable   (things you measure) – A factor whose values are determined by the independent variables.

Constants   factors of an experiment that are kept the same and never change.  
🗑
Control   used as a standard of comparison, not experimented on.  
🗑
Qualitative Data   information that is hard to measure, count or describe in numbers (involves non-numerical qualities of an object).

Quantitative Data   information that can be expressed in numbers. If information can be counted or measured then it is quantitative.

Purpose   It describes the reason you are doing this experiment

Research   when you gather information and materials needed for this lab. This is where you will also identify the independent and dependent variables and the constant.

Hypothesis   is your educated guess/prediction as to what the results will be.

Procedures   the steps used to design and perform an experiment.

Results   the data that was collected and analyzed during the experiment.

Conclusion   a summary or answer to the problem based on the data. Was your prediction correct?

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
 
To hide a column, click on the column name.
 
To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.
