What is a Isotonic Solution? | - When the same amount of water moves in an out of the cell.
- Cell stays the same size.
- Concentration of water and dissolved substances are the same both inside and outside of the cell.

What is a Hypotonic Solution? | - When more water moves into the cell than out.
- Causes cell to swell
- Has a higher concentration of water and dissolved substances on the inside of the cell than the outside.

What is a Hypertonic Solution? | - When more water moves out of the cell than in.
- Causes cell to shrink
- The concentration of water and dissolved substances is higher on the outside of the cell than the inside.
