Newton's Laws

Quiz yourself by thinking what should be in each of the black spaces below before clicking on it to display the answer.
        Help!

Term
Definition
Acceleration   The change of speed of a moving object over time.
🗑
Balanced Force   Force is 0 so there is not movement.
🗑
Contact Force   A push or Bump.
🗑
Distant Force   Puts force on an object from a distance or without touching it.
🗑
Equal   The same as something else.
🗑
Force   A push or pull with a direction and a size.
🗑
Friction   When two objects rub together and create a resistance.
🗑
Inertia   Lack of movement or activity.
🗑
Motion   The change of an object’s position.
🗑
Net Force   A combination of more than one force.
🗑
Newton's 2nd Law   Acceleration is produced when a force acts on a mass. The greater the mass (of the object being accelerated) the greater the amount of force needed (to accelerate the object).
🗑
Newton's 3rd Law   For every action there is an equal and opposite re-action.
🗑
Newton's 1st Law   An object at rest will remain at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force. An object in motion continues in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
🗑
Opposite   Completely different or the difference of two or more things-The Net.
🗑
Unbalanced Force   The Net Force is not 0 so there is movement.
🗑
Velocity   The change of direction or speed.
