bronchi   the two tubes that split off of the trachea and go to each lung

lungs   the two sac-like organs in the chest where gas exchange occurs

alveoli   tiny sac-like (think bunches of grapes!) structures in the lungs where gas exchange occurs

diaphragm   the muscle beneath your lungs that contracts and relaxes to help move air in and out of your lungs

bladder   an elastic muscular organs that holds urine until it leaves the body

urethra   the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body

urine   waste water that carries cellular wastes from the body

filter   to remove unwanted materials from something

excretion   the removal of cellular waste

liver   an organ that aids in digestion and excretion

skin   the largest organ in the body, excretes water and wastes through sweat

oxygen   a respiratory gas needed by cells to make energy

carbon dioxide   a waste gas from cells that needs to be removed from the body
