Quiz yourself by thinking what should be in each of the black spaces below before clicking on it to display the answer.
        Help!

Term
Definition
Constant speed   When the speed of an object remains the same, it does not increase or decrease
🗑
Deceleration   Something that causes an object to slow down.
🗑
Gravitational Force   A force that attracts any object with mass.
🗑
Inertia   A property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force.
🗑
Newtons 1st Law of Motion   An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
🗑
Newtons 2ed Law of Motion   The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object.
🗑
Newtons 3rd Law of Motion   For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
🗑
Relative Position   A point defined with reference to another position, either fixed or moving; the coordinates of such a point are usually bearing, true or relative, and distance from an identified reference point.
🗑
Velocity   the speed of something in a given direction.
🗑
Zero net Force   When the object is not accelerating, then it is in a state that you call equilibrium.
