model (scientific model)   a replica (either physically or mentally) of the real thing

outcome variable (dependent variable)   the change that happens in an experiment by using the independent variable

replication   when another scientist repeats the same experiment someone else did to see if it's reliable

test variable (independent variable)   the variable that you change in order to test something
