cell wall   a rigid structure around the cell membrane that provides structural support and protection. (Found in plant cells)

nucleus   directs all the cell's activities. It acts like the brain of the cell

vacuole   storage bubbles found in animal and plant cells (larger in plant cells) used to store food and nutrients cells need to survive. They can also store waste products.

mitochondria   generates energy the cell uses to do its jobs. They are called the "powerhouses" of the cell

cytoplasm   a jellylike fluid inside the cell which gives the cell shape and holds the cell's parts
