Cornea   The surface of our eyes. Colourless/Transparent   Helps focus light on the retina.

Pupil   The black spot, hole, in the middle of our eyes.   Makes the pupil large in dim light, and small when light is bright.

Iris   The colour in our eyes.(e.g. Brown, Blue, Green, Grey)   Light passes through the hole of an Iris to reach the retina.

Sclera   The white of our eyes.   The tough cover of the eyeball which forms the white of the eye.

Lens   Are like manmade lens.Behind the Iris.   Also helps focus light on the retina, like the cornea.

Ciliary Muscles   Muscles that connect to our lens.   Helps control the thickness of the lens to adjust for near and far objects.

Retina   Near the back of the eye.   The area where an image is produced and reverted in to nerve signals.

Optic Nerve   The nerve that connects to the brain.   Carries nerve signals to the brain.

Aqueous Body   Water like substance. Fluid.   Fluid in the front part of the eye/ also like cornea.

Vitreous Body   The heart of the eye   Maintains the shape of the eye Gelatinous matter.

Chronoid   Blood vessel-like.   Supplies the retina with Blood.

Blind Spot/ Optic Disc Area   The back of your eye   Where the optic nerve leaves the eye.
