Cold Front | Forms when a fast moving cold air mass pushes under a warm air mass forcing the warm air to rise

Stationary front | forms when warm and cold air meet and neither air mass has the force to move the other. they remain standing still

occluded front | cold air catches up to warm air. Warm air rises as the cold front meets with cool air beyond warm air mass.
