Temperate grasslands | land biome with moderate climate, but only grass (not enough rainfall for trees to grow), found on the interior of continents, fertile soil used for farming.

Savannas | land biome that is a temperate grassland but close to the equator, has large herds of animals that feed on the grasses.

Tropical Rain Forests | the most diverse land biome that is near equator, receives lots of rainfall, and is hot all year, has tall trees, many plants, and many different types of animals.

Deserts | Land biome where climate is hot and dry; does not have many plants (mostly cacti) and animals like birds, lizards, and scorpions.

Adaptation | features or traits of an organism that helps it survive in its environment
