| Beaches | Shorelines made of sand. Shorelines are always changing due to waves and currents.

| Salt Marshes | Found in estuaries. They act like a sponge during storms to soak up excess water.

| Sediment | Weathered down material carried by water or wind.

| Sand Dunes | These sweep up in mounds. Plant's rots hold these in place.

| Currents | Ongoing movements of water.

| Tides | The level of water which rises and falls every day.

| Waves | Repeated movement of water lapping against the shore.

| Ocean Shore Zone | Made up of barrier islands, inlets, beaches, estuaries, salt marshes, sediment, sand dunes, currents, tides, and waves.

| What is an ongoing movement of water that goes and hits the shore? | Waves.
