---|---|---|---|---|---|
Cell Membrane | Organelle that surrounds a cell and allows materials to move in and out of it.
🗑
Nucleus | Organelle that stores information via DNA. Acts as a sort of control center of a cell.
🗑
Nuclear Envelope | Like Cell Membrane, except for it surrounds nucleus
🗑
Nuclear pore | Tunnel through Nuclear Envelope to allow bigger things to go in and out of the Nucleus.
🗑
Nucleolus | Organelle that stores information for making RNA.
🗑
Chromatin | Uncoiled DNA, coils to make chromosomes when cell reproduces.
🗑
Cytoplasm | Jelly-like colloid inside of cell, it gives the cell its shape.
🗑
Mitochondrion | Organelle that is the powerhouse of cell, generates energy the cell uses.
🗑
Golgi Complex | Packaging and Shipping of cell, distributes materials the cell needs.
🗑
Centriole | Organelle that is only used when cell divides
🗑
Microtubule | Cellular Highway that makes distribution of materials easier.
🗑
Microfilament | Small and threadlike- is basically a cytoskeleton, helping the cell keep its shape.
🗑
Ribosome | Makes proteins for cell to use.
🗑
Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) | Two Types- Rough ER- studded with ribosomes, protein factory Smooth ER- has no ribosomes, makes lipids (fats)
🗑
Vacuole | Storage unit of cell, stores unused materials for later.
🗑
Lysosome | Eliminates waste and damaged organelles. Like a janitor.
🗑
Selectively Permeable | Can be permeated by certain materials, but not others.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
To hide a column, click on the column name.
To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.
You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.
Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
