---|---|---|---|---|---|
Cell wall | made of cellulose in plants, made of chitin in fungi. gives cell structure, keeps cell from bursting. NOT IN ANIMAL CELLS AND SOME PROTISTS CELLS.
🗑
cell membrane | lets some things in and out (selectivly permiable). controls what goes in and out of the cell.
🗑
Cytoplasm | in eukariatic cells, jelly like substance. cytosol + organells= cytoplasm. mostly water.
🗑
nucleus | enclosed in double membrane. controls all the of the cells activity.Only in Eukaryotic cells
🗑
Neclear enevelope | protects neucleus. pores allow matetials to move in and out of neucleus.
🗑
Chromatin | thin strands of DNA and protein contains genitic code for directing cells activities.
🗑
Necleolus | makes ribosomes
🗑
Cloroplasts | oval shapped, has green sacs double membrane contains chlorophyll. found in pants and some Protist cells
🗑
Mitochondria | oval shaped Cellular resperation. double membrane, tiny folds in second membrane.
🗑
Ribosomes | small roundish made of RNA and proteins some in cytoplasm and some are on the rough ER
🗑
Endoplasmic Reticulum | Rough ER: series of membrane bound passage ways dotted with ribosomes
Smooth ER Does not have Ribosomes
🗑
Golgi bodies | flattened out sac and tubes. can pinch of little ventricles that carry chemicals. Receive Protiens from ER. packages them and sends them out
🗑
Vacuole | water filled sac, larger in plant cells store food and waste and other mateials
🗑
Lysosmes | contains enzymes that break down food particles or cell parts ( clean up crew)

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
To hide a column, click on the column name.
To hide the entire table, click on the "Hide All" button.
You may also shuffle the rows of the table by clicking on the "Shuffle" button.
Or sort by any of the columns using the down arrow next to any column heading.
If you know all the data on any row, you can temporarily remove it by tapping the trash can to the right of the row.
