What are the major effects of Dopamine?   Stimulates the heart, increases hepatic/renal blood flow, regulates fine motor movement. Low levels of dopamine are associated with low BP, muscle rigidity, and EPS.

What are the major effects of Acetylcholine?   Cholinergic that balances Dopamine; involved in memory, deficient in Alzheimer's disease

What are the major effects of Norepinephrine?   Regulates mood (in a good way, along w/ serotonin), is an alpha agonist (vasoconstriction, increases BP, aides ejaculation).

What are the major effects of Histamine?   Alertness, inflammatory response. Blocking causes sedation (Benadryl), and weight gain.

What does AChE (Acetylcholinesterase) do?   Enzyme that degrades ACh, thus leading to dementia, Alzheimer's. Think AChE inhibitor = Anti-dementia medication.

What do MAOs do?   Monoamine oxidases fuck with mono-amines, especially nor-epi and seritonin, leading to depression. Boo. Hence the use of MAOI's as antidepressants.
