Nursing Assistant in long term care

| Activities of daily living | Personal care tasks such as bathing, caring for skin, fingernails, and hair, eating, drinking, caring for the mouth and teeth, dressing, walking, transferring, eliminating and communicating |
| Acute Care | 24-hour skilled care given in hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers. it is for people who require short-term, immediate care for illnesses or injuries. |
| Activities Director | plans activities for residents to help them socialize and stay active |
| Adult Day Services | for people who need some help and supervision during certain hours, but who do no live in the facility where care is provided. |
| APRN | a registered nurse who has completed training at the postgraduate level ( master's or doctoral). can make diagnoses and prescribe treatment. |
| Assault | a threat to harm a person resulting in the person feeling fearful that they will be harmed. telling a resident that she will be slapped if she doesn't stop yelling. |
| Assisted living Facilities | are residences for people who need some help with daily tasks such as showering, meals, and dressing. they don't need 24-hour care it allows more independent living a homelike environment. |
| Care Team | Group of people with different kinds of education and experience who provides resident care |

| Physician Assistant | licensed professional who diagnoses disease or disability and develops treatment plans, as well as prescribes medication. works under the supervision of a doctor and has received masters degrees + national licensure examination. |
