Step 13 | Roll the resident towards you, and unfold the brief through to the other side and remove waterproof pad. |
Step 14 | Return resident to supine position. Place front panel over abdomen. |
Step 15 | Fasten bottom tape tabs angling upward, then fasten top tape tabs to brief. |
Step 16 * | Remove and discard gloves. Raise side rail. Perform hand hygiene. |
Step 17 | Lower side rail. Cover the resident with the top linen and remove bath blanket. Provide for comfort. |
Step 18 * | Raise the side rail nearest you. Lower bed. Lower side rails. Attach signal light within resident’s reach. |
Step 19 | Discard plastic tied bag/disposable supplies. (may verbalize) |
Step 20 | Perform hand hygiene and report & record observations. |
