What does it mean when you ask about the physical properties of an object? A physical property of matter can be observed or measured without changing the identity of the matter.
Is color a physical property? Yes. You can observe an object's color. The apple is red.
Is odor a physical property? Yes. You can observe that sulphur smells like rotten eggs.
What is thermal conductivity? Thermal conductivity is the ability to transfer thermal energy from oen area to another.
Are the states of matter physical properties? Yes. An object can be observed and measured to determine if it is a gas, liquid or solid.
What are the three states of matter? Solid, liquid, gas
What is the fourth state of matter that exists in the universe? plasma
What does it mean to say something is malleable? Malleability means that something can be pounded into thin sheets.
What does it mean to say something is ductile? Ductility is the ability to be drawn or pulled into a wire.
What does solubility mean? Solubility is the ability to dissolve in another substance.
What is the mathmatical formula for calculating density? D=m/v or Density=mass/volume.
What does the density of an object describe? The density is the amount of matter in a given space regardless of size. For example, the density of helium in a an airship at 20o C and normal atmospheric pressure is the same as the density of helium in a small balloon at the same pressure and temp.
