What is metabolism? The rate at which your body burns fat and does chemical reactions in your body.
What organs are a part of the cardiovascular cavity and what is its function? Heart, Vessels, Blood. It transports cells and nutrients as well as wastes and gasses.
What is the funtion of a cell membrane? Protection and shape.
What is cytology? The study of cells.
What is the funtion of cytoplasm? It is the fluid inside a cell.
What is cell physiology? The study of funtions of the cells.
What is the function of the nucleolus? To store RNA and DNA
What organs are a part of the nervous system and what is its funtion? Brain and spinal cord. It is responsible for stimulus and respone.
What organs are in the cranial cavity? Brain
What organs are in the abdominal cavity? Stomach, intestines, liver
What is the function of nucleic acids? To store and process information in cells. It is made of Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, and nitrogen.
What is embryology? The study of embryonic development
What is the function of rhibosomes? To make protein
What is the funtion of the nucleus? It is the control center for the cell.
What are superficial markings? Above the skin, visble to eye
What organs are in the muscular system and what is its function? Muscles. It provides support and locomotion.
What organs are in the integumentary system and what is its funtion? Skin, hair, nails. It provides protection and helps with homestasis.
What is histology? The study of tisses.
What organs are in the spinal cavity? Spine
What is the function of mitochondria? To produce ATP
What is physiology? The study of how organisms perform vital functions
What is systematic anatomy? The study of major organ systems
What is gross anatomy? Features visible with the unaided eye
What organs are in the thoracic cavity? Lungs
What organs are a part of the endocrine system and what is its funtion? Thyroid, pancreas, kidney, ovaries, testes. It directs long term changes in other organ systems
What organs are a part of the respiratory system and what is its function? Lungs, nose, trachea, diaphragm. It delivers air throughout the body.
What is homeostasis? The ability to maintain a constant body temperature.
What organs are a part of the digestive system and what is its function? Esophagus, Liver, stomach, intestines, anus. It processes food and absorbs nutrients.
What organs are a part of the urinary system and what is its function? Kidney, uretur, bladdar, urethra. It eliminates excess water, salt, and waste.
What organs are in the reproductive system and what is its function? Penis, testes, vagina, ovaries. It produces sex cells and hormones.
What is the function of protein? Its made of Oxygen, hydrogen, carbon, and nitrogen. It is long term energy as well as support and muscle buildup.
What is the funtion of a lipid? Its made of oxygen, hydrogen, and carbon. It is fats and it provides short term energy.
What is the funtion of a carbohydrate? Its made of hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen. It is a source of energy.

What is anatomy? The study of internal and external funtions.
What organs are a part of the skeleta system and what is its function? Bones. It provides protection and support.
What organs are a part of the lymphatic system and what is its function? Spleen, lymphnodes, lymphatic vessels. It defends against disease and infection.
What is regional anatomy? The superficial and internal features in a specific region.
What is system physiology? The function of organ systems.
