Plot

QuestionAnswer
plot storyline or events in the story
internal conflict problem is in the character's thoughts (decision)
external conflict problem is outside of the character
suspense feeling of curiosity
foreshadowing hint to future event
climax highest point of action or turning point
resolution solution to the conflict
parallel episodes repetition of the main elements of the plot
subplot side story about a main character's secondary goal or a different character's conflict
complication difficult events that develop when the main charactr tries to solve the conflict
