termdefinition
metric system Decimal system of units based on the meter used as a unit length, the kilogram as a unit mass, and the second as a unit time.
length The distance between two points.
mass The measure of quantity (amount) in matter contained in an odject.
volume The amount of space occupied by an object.
meter (m) metric standard for line measure.
liter Basic unit of volume.
gram Unit of mass.
weight The force created by the response of mass of the poll of gravity.
gravity Natural force of attraction between any two bodies.
scale Measures weight of an object.
