TermDefinition
Metric System Decimal system of units. Length=Meter Mass=Gram Volume=Liter
Length Distance between two points. Meter (m) is basic unit.
Mass The amount of matter contained in a object. Gram (g) is basic unit.
Volume The amount of space occupied by an object. Liter (L) is basic unit.
Meter (m) Metric standard unit of Length.
Liter (L) Metric standard unit of Volume.
Gram (g) Metric standard unit of Mass.
Weight The force created by the response of mass to gravity.
Gravity Natural force of attraction between any two bodies.
Scale An instrument used to measure weight.
