termdefinition
metric system decimal system of units based on the meter as a unit length, the kilogram as a unit mass, and the second as a unit time.
length the distance between two points.
mass the amount of matter contained in on a object
volume the space matter occupies.
meter meter standard for line measure; unit of distance.
liter basic unit of volume
gram unit of mass.
weight the force created by the response of mass to the pull of gravity
gravity natural force of attraction between any two massive bodies, which is directly proportional to the square of the distance between them.
