Definition

Metric System 1Definition
Metric System Decimal system of units based on the meter as a unit length.
Length Distance btween two points.
Mass The measure of the quantity of matter that a body or an object contains.
Volume Amount of space occupied by a three-dimensional object or region of space.
Meter The metric standard for line measure; unit of distance.
Liter Basic unit of volume.
Gram Unit of mass.
Weight A force created by the response of mass to the pull of gravity; measure of the heaviness of an object.
Gravity A natural force of attraction between any two massive bodies, which is directly proportional to the product of thier masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
Scale An instrument used to measure wight.
