Trihexyphenidyl (Artane) Anticholinergic; to decrease involuntary symptoms of parkinsonism or drug induced parkinsonism by inhibiting acetylcholine
Lovastatin (Mevacor) Statin and Antihyperlipidemic; controls cholesterol by inhibiting cholesterol synthesis and inhibits HMG-CoA reductase (the enzyme neccessary for hepatic production of cholesterol)
Epinephrine Sympathomimetic; promotion of CNS and cardiac stimulation and bronchodilation and to treat allergic reaction anaphylaxis, asthma, bronchospasm, severe hypotension, and cardiac arrest
Carisoprodol (Soma) centrally acting muscle relaxant; to relax skeletal muscles and treat spasticity associated with stroke, spinal cord injury, MS, and cerebral palsy
Regular insulin and NPH insulin Antidiabetic; to control diabetes mellitus
Isoniazid Antitubercular; to treat TB and inhibtion of bacterial cell wall synthesis
Phenytoin (Dilantin) Anticonvulsants; reduces motor cortex activity by altering transport of ions and to prevent tonic clonic (grand mal) and complex partial seizures
Methenamine (Hiprex) Urinary antiinfectives; used for chronic UTIs and inhibits bacterial enzymes and metabolism
Acetylsalicylate Acid (Aspirin)(ASA) Anti-inflammatory; to reduce pain and inflammation symptoms, to decrease body temperature, to inhibit platelet aggregation, and inhibition of hypothalmic heat regulator center
Glipizide (Glucotrol) Antidiabetic; To control hyperglycemia in type 2 diabetes mellitus, Directly stimulates beta cells in pancreas to secrete insulin, Indirectly alters sensitivity of peripheral insulin receptors, allowing increased insulin binding
Warfarin (Coumadin) Anticoagulant; To prevent blood clotting, depression of hepatic synthesis of vitamin K clotting factors (II (prothrombin), VII, IX, X)
Fluticasone (Flonase) Intranasal glucocorticoids; Treats seasonal allergic rhinitis and asthma, Anti-inflammatory and vasoconstrictor that may decrease inflammation by inhibiting mast cells, macrophages, and mediators such as a leukotriene’s
