Dilantin Anticonvolsant-supress abnormal neuron firing. Contra- Pregnancy S/E- Gingivitis, nystagmus, HA, diplopia dizziness, slurred speech Int- Tagament, sulfonamides, dec. w/ folic acid, calcium, anticoagulants, oral contraceptives, antihistamines, dopamine
Fluexetine (Prozac) Sertraline HCL (Zoloft) Psychotropic. SSRI. Blocks the reuptake of seratonin into the nerve terminal of the CNS. Use- anxiety, ocd, panic, phobias, ptsd. s/- gi upset, insomnia, weight loss, headache adv- seizure
Phenalazine Sulfite (Nardil) Psychotropic. MAOI. Use: depression s/e Tremors,sweating, dizziness, increased BP. Adv- hypertensives crisis when taking w. foods w. tyramine (aged cheese, wine, beer avacados, yogurt, pepperoni)
Amitryptiline (Elavil) Imipramine (Tofranil) Psychotropic. TCA. Use; Elevates mood, increased interest in daily living and activity,
