Electricity & Electric Circuits Terms for Grade 5

| Conductor | A material that electricity flows through well. |
| Electric Current | A flow of electrical charges. |
| Circuit | The path that electric current flows through. |
| Power Source | The part of a circuit that supplies the electricity. |
| Load | The part of a circuit that uses electricity to run. |
| Series Circuit | A circuit where energy flows in one path. If one part is removed, the circuit stops working. |
| Parallel Circuits | A circuit where energy flows in more than one path. If one part is removed, the circuit will still work. |
| Simple Circuit | A circuit with three main parts: a power source, a conductor, and a load. |
| Static Electricity | Electricity that is created when two things rub together. |
