Essential Hypertension Most common type of hypertension; 90% hypertensive cases; 5 contributing factors

Sympatholytics Beta-adrenergic blockers, centrally acting alpha2 agonists, alpha-adrenergic blockers, adrenergic neuron blockers, alpha1- & beta1-adrenergic blockers
