RID Certificates
| Question | Answer |

| RSC | Reverse Skills Certificate- (Not Offered)awarded to Deaf individuals who successfully completed the interview and the 2 sign to voice portions of the eval. with 75% accuracy or above. |
| CSC | Comprehensive Skills Certificate- Successful Completion of all segments at %75 level of accuracy. If only a portion was passed they could have an IC or TC (Not offered anymore) |
| OIC:C | Oral Interpreter Cerificate:Comprehensive-required an interview plus four performace segments with 75% or more. (Not offered anymore) |
| Speciality Certificates | Between 1975-1978, speciality certificates were awarded, including the Specialist Certificate Legal (SC;L) and performing arts (SC:PA) |
| CI & CT | Certificate of interpretation and Certificate of transliteration. Written must be passed first then 5 years to pass the performance. (no longer offered) |
| NIC | National Interpreting Certificate- after passing the written the candidate has 5 years to pass the interview and skills portion. |
| OTC | Certificate of oral transliteration (still offered) Written exam in 6 content areas then a skills exam. |
| CDI | Certified Deaf Interpreter, written test then 5 years to pass the performance. (still offered) |
| SC:L | Specialist Certificate Legal (still offered) Written and skills test. Must be certified. Interpreting erperience, degree, formal legal training. |
