How is supersaturated solutions different from saturated solutions? Supersaturated solutions are unstable and can hold normally at a given temperature whereas saturated solutions is one that contains as much solute as the solvent can hold
How do you identify a chemical change? Where there is a different color or a whole new substance, also the smell and taste is a characteristic of a chemical change.
Why do manufacturers produce a carbonated product? They use pressure to force carbon dioxide to dissolve in the liquid. Increasing the pressure on a gas increases its solubility in a liquid.
What is conductivity? It is a flow of electricity in a type of metal which could be a good or bad type of conducters.
What are three ways substances dissolve in water? By dissociation, dispersion, and ionization.
What is dispersion? It is breaking a substance down into smaller and simpler particles that are distributed evenly across the whole solution.
What energy is transferred in a solution? During the formation of a solution, ENERGY is either released of absorbed
What is a solution that has less than the maximum amount of solute that can be dissolved. Unsaturated solution
What is concentration in a liquid? The concentration of a solution is the amount of solute dissolved in a specified amount of solution.
What are different ways concentration can be expressed? Percent of volume, percent by mass, and molarity.
