How are you eligible to be considered for special education services? | In order to be eligible you must have a disabilitly, and that disability must adversally effect the student education performance. |
What is the meaning of Zero Reject? | You must include every student no matter what the disaplitly is! |
IDEA | The IDEA gives money to to the state and local school to help improve the students education! |
Team Members of an IEP? | Students parents One regular eduaction teacher One Special Education teacher Provider for speciality designed instruction Interpreter of teh proper instudetions Other people with knowledge of expertise. |
Least Restricitve Enviroment | Students recieveing special accomodations in teh classroom where they are pulled out of teh classroom to be in a restrictive area. |
Section 504 Plan | Section 504 protects the rights of the students with disability in the programs and activities in public schools and other programs. |
What is an IEP | An IEP describes the students abilities, strengths and the students needs. it includes information such as goals and how they will be measured. |
Assistive technology Services | A variety of services that directly assist a child with a disability in the selection, acquisition, or use of an assistive technology device. |
