Mechanism of Action: Antipsychotics block receptors for dopamine, ACH, histamine and norepinephrine
Mechanism of Action: TCAs inhibit reuptake of seratonin and noradrenaline into nerve terminals
Mechanism of Action: SSRIs affect serationin reuptake
Mechanism of Action: MAOIs inhibits monamine oxidase, stopping actions of dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine and serotonin; intensifies the efect of norepinephrine
Mechanism of Action: Atypical Antidepressants inhibits reabsorption of serotonin and norepinephrine; increases levels of dopamine, seratonin and norepinephrine in CNS
