Antiparkinsonian Drugs

| Akinesia | a reduction or absence of motor activity that results in masklike facial expression and impaired postural reflexes. Classic parkinsonian symptom. |
| Bradykinesia | slowness of movement, another classic symptom. |
| Chorea | a condition characterized by involuntary purposless, rapid mvmnts. Like grimacing, finger flexion, shoulder ticks, etc. |
| Dyskinesia | impaired ability to execute voluntary movements. |
| Affective Disorders | emotional disorders that are characterized by changes in mood. |
| Dystonia | disorder of muscle tone causes impaired movement |
| Selegiline | a selective MAO-B inhibitor which is indicated for Parkinson's disease. It is used as an adjunctive drug along with levodopa to reduce the dosage of levodopa needed for symptom control. |
