Notes on Genetic's

QuestionAnswer
Heredity The passing of traits from parents to offspring.
Genes contain codded information to form a creature from a fertilized egg.
Dominant controls the trait.
Recessive Does not effect the trait.
Genotype The genes a person has for a trait
Phenotype The physical Characteristic a person has for a trait.
Heterozygous When a creature's genotype has two of the different genes for a trait.
Homozygous When a creature's genotype has two of the same genes for a trait.
Traits A trait is a physical characteristic.
